Using Kahoot in the Classroom
Kahoot is an online quizzing tool that allows all students in a class to compete against each other. They do this by trying to answer questions quicker than the rest of their classmates. They are all given the same question at the same time and are given multiple options for the answer. They need to answer the question right as quickly as possible to win.

It is also great for the teacher as there is live feedback and if the whole class does poorly on one of the questions, the teacher can review and go over it with them.
Kahoot allows a teacher to design and create a quiz exactly to their specifications and about the content that they want to make sure is quizzed. It makes this very easy as there is a common template that each Kahoot follows so teachers don't have to waste time trying to design something new each time they want to make a Kahoot.
Kahoot also makes it very simple for students as they have a basic template that they see so it makes it very simple for them to know what they are being asked to answer. This helps all students succeed on a quiz as continuity is always good.
In the classroom, I would use Kahoot to do unit review quizzes before a test so that I can see where students are at before a test and help them figure out what they need to look at to perform better. I would also use it as a fun tool at the end of class for students to have a chance to show their knowledge and I can see how well they understood and comprehended a lesson.
Positives

- This is a free tool so it is no extra cost to the teacher.

- It is a very interactive tool that allows all students to get involved and have fun. Also, this provides a more fun way for students to interact with the materials, especially if they are a more competitive group.
Negatives

- Some students may not like the competitiveness of the Kahoot as there are time limits on each question, which puts pressure on them to answer fast.

- This is a tough tool for students who might have sight issues, as there are not a ton of auditory options that let them answer questions as fast as others. They can still use this tool well, however, they might get frustrated that it takes them longer to answer than their classmates.
